Who we are

We are an undergraduate club at Cornell University dedicated to providing students with opportunities to expand their knowledge of healthcare while collaborating with Cornell’s sports medicine professionals.

Our mission

The goals of the Sports Medicine Club at Cornell are to provide members with hands-on medical experiences through tailored shadowing rotations with Cornell’s athletic trainers, physical therapists, and orthopedic surgeons, while also expanding their medical knowledge and practical skills. SMCAC strives to teach members how to collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals, interact confidently with patients, and navigate a wide range of clinical scenarios. Additionally, the organization offers weekly skills labs where members learn and practice techniques such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, taping, and thermal therapy. Through these experiences, members gain insight into the many facets of sports medicine and the diverse roles within the field.
